Full Job Description Job Summary Pay:

$8.40

50 per hour Job description: This position handles all check-cashing services and processes various forms of customer payments. This position will also handle cash transactions with cashiers. This position will also provide customer service assistance and support to other departments, as assigned by management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide general assistance to customers
• Process transactions by utilizing calculators, cash register, change maker, and computer terminals
• Receive, distribute, and make change for customers
• Receive money, make change, and cash checks for cashiers
• Issue cash to cashiers and remove excess Cash
• Monitor Cashiering activities and provide additional support when necessary
• Cash personal and payroll checks and collect fees for check cashing services
• Prepare money orders
• Process Western Union orders, Quick Pay, Texas Lottery ticket sales, gift certificate sales. and stamp sales
• Receive payments for utility bills and license plates
• Balance cash register totals with money collected
• Maintain surrounding area clean from debris
• Practice good safety habits
• Other duties as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of the different forms of exchange (coins, Cash, checks, etc.)
• Familiarity with computer terminals
• Ability to assist customers
• Ability to lift to and over 40lbs.
• Willing to learn, self-motivated, and enthusiastic

Experience:

• Some cash handling experience preferred but not required
• Fluent English and Spanish preferred but not required
• Must be at least 18 years old
