In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling retail sales transactions. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and appreciated. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong communication skills, and has a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail skills and grow within a vibrant team. Responsibilities Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately during retail sales transactions, ensuring quick and smooth checkouts. Handle cash drawer operations with precision, including cash handling, balancing registers, and reconciling cash at the end of shifts. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos. Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly demeanor. Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with merchandising to ensure the store remains attractive and well-organized. Maintain professional phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries. Support product demos when applicable, showcasing features and benefits to customers to boost sales. Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking supplies and participating in periodic stock counts. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated proficiency in basic math for handling transactions accurately. Ability to handle cash register operations confidently while maintaining attention to detail. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette.
