The Restaurant Cashier welcomes customers, takes and processes orders, handles payments, and ensures a positive customer experience. The cashier works closely with kitchen and restaurant staff to ensure orders are accurate and completed efficiently. Key Responsibilities Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner. Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the POS system. Process cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, and other forms of payment. Provide customers with accurate receipts and change. Answer questions about menu items, prices, and available options. Communicate special requests or dietary concerns to the appropriate staff. Ensure orders are accurate before handing them to customers. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked cashier area. Balance and secure the cash drawer according to company procedures. Assist with restocking, cleaning, and other restaurant duties as needed. Handle customer concerns politely and refer complex issues to a manager. Follow food safety, sanitation, and restaurant policies. Work effectively with team members during busy periods. Qualifications Previous cashier or customer-service experience preferred.
