Job Description
We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions and helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment. In addition to operating the cash register, this role is responsible for supporting daily store operations, including merchandising, store recovery, stocking, and maintaining store appearance. Responsibilities Greet every customer with a friendly and positive attitude. Accurately process cash, credit/debit card, and other payment transactions. Answer customer questions and assist with locating merchandise. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area. Perform store recovery by returning misplaced items to their proper locations, straightening merchandise, and ensuring shelves and displays remain neat and presentable. Help maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the sales floor, , restrooms, and other store areas. Monitor inventory levels and communicate low stock needs to management. Follow company policies and procedures regarding loss prevention, safety, and cash handling. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations. Complete other tasks assigned by management to support store operations. Qualifications Previous cashier or retail experience is required. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Basic math skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
