Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Cashier to join our retail team. Responsibilities Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions swiftly and accurately Handle cash, credit, debit, and electronic payments with precision, ensuring proper cash drawer handling Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries Conduct product demos when applicable to enhance customer engagement and promote sales Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly approach Stock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store remains clean and inviting Maintain professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers or vendors over the phone Assist in merchandising efforts to highlight promotional items and new products effectively Support supervising staff by overseeing daily cashier operations during shifts as needed Participate in inventory management activities such as stocking and product replenishment Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly preferred Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations Strong retail math skills for handling transactions, discounts, and change calculations Excellent communication skills with an ability to engage customers effectively Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases Proven experience in supervising or leading cashier teams is advantageous Ability to perform basic math accurately and handle cash handling responsibilities confidently Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and sales strategies Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service in fast-paced environments This role offers an engaging opportunity for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a dynamic retail team.
