Responsibilities Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately during retail sales transactions, including scanning items, processing payments, and issuing receipts Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions about products, and assisting with product demos when needed Handle cash drawer operations with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing at the end of each shift Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly demeanor Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure the store remains tidy, appealing, and well-stocked for customers Maintain strong phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or assisting via phone calls Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays and ensuring product knowledge is up-to-date for effective selling Assist in inventory management tasks such as stocking new items and conducting stock counts as required Experience Previous retail sales or cashier experience is preferred, especially within grocery stores or similar retail environments Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is highly desirable Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively Strong communication skills, including clear verbal interactions and professional phone etiquette Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and grocery store operations will set you apart Join us and become part of a lively team dedicated to delivering outstanding shopping experiences!
