$14.00 per hour The Duckling Village is East Texas' premier indoor play village designed for young children and their families. We're looking for dependable, organized, and customer-focused Village Leads to help oversee the daily operation of our facility. This is a hands-on leadership position. Village Leads are responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience, leading by example, supporting and training staff, and ensuring the facility operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently throughout every shift. Responsibilities & Guest Experience Welcome and assist guests with professionalism and enthusiasm Process admissions, memberships, gift shop sales, and POS transactions Book birthday parties, private play sessions, and field trips Process membership cancellations and refunds according to company policy Professionally resolve guest questions and concerns Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries Leadership & Daily Operations Open and close the facility Lead and support Village Associates throughout each shift Delegate daily responsibilities and ensure tasks are completed Train and onboard new employees Ensure all opening, closing, and cleaning checklists are completed Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready facility Prepare party rooms and ensure reservations are ready for arrival Complete incident reports Report maintenance concerns and inventory needs to ownership Ensure company policies and safety procedures are consistently followed Marketing Support Capture high-quality photos and videos throughout the day Photograph birthday parties, special events, new merchandise, and memorable guest experiences Submit content ideas and media to ownership for social media marketing Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred Previous customer service experience required CPR Certification required (or willingness to obtain before employment begins) Must successfully pass a criminal background check Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to confidently lead a team and make routine operational decisions Reliable transportation and excellent attendance Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment with children and families Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and remain active throughout each shift Able to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds Preferred Qualifications The following are not required but are considered a plus: Experience working with children Experience creating social media content (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reels, photography, or videography) Bilingual (English/Spanish) Experience in hospitality, retail, or family entertainment Available Schedules We are currently hiring for one Village Lead position.
