This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people, is organized and reliable, and wants to work in a professional, fast-paced pharmacy environment. The Pharmacy Cashier is often one of the first and last people our patients interact with, so excellent customer service is an important part of the role. Responsibilities Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service Ring up prescription and retail purchases accurately Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash, credit card, and other payments Help patients pick up completed prescriptions Verify basic identifying information before releasing prescriptions according to pharmacy procedures Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate team member Assist customers with over-the-counter products and general store questions Stock shelves, straighten merchandise, and help maintain an organized front-end area Assist with inventory, pricing, and restocking as needed Keep the register and customer areas clean and organized Work closely with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to help the pharmacy run smoothly Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times Qualifications We're looking for someone who is: Friendly and comfortable interacting with customers Dependable and punctual Honest and trustworthy Detail-oriented and accurate Able to multitask in a busy environment Comfortable using computers and learning new systems A positive team player Willing to help wherever needed Previous retail, cashier, customer service, or pharmacy experience is helpful but not required.
