Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales transactions swiftly and securely Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance customer purchases and store revenue Conduct product demos when applicable, highlighting features and benefits to customers Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, ensuring merchandise is properly stocked and merchandised Handle cash, credit, and mobile payments with precision, adhering to cash handling procedures Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and inventory management to ensure product availability Practice professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online channels Support in supervising team members during shifts, providing guidance on cashier procedures and customer interactions Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not mandatory Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, and stock management is beneficial Join us as a Cashier and become an integral part of creating memorable shopping experiences!
