Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, including product demos and answering questions about store offerings. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and handle cash register operations with precision. Manage cash handling duties, including balancing cash drawers and ensuring secure cash register operations. Support floor recovery by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining a clean, attractive store environment. Engage in upselling techniques to promote products and increase sales opportunities while delivering excellent customer service. Assist with merchandising efforts to highlight seasonal items and ensure product placement aligns with store standards. Demonstrate strong communication skills by providing clear information about products, store policies, and promotions in a bilingual capacity if applicable. Qualifications Previous retail experience is preferred, especially grocery store or retail sales roles that involved cashiering or stock management. Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions and cash handling. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and handle phone inquiries professionally. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings or during busy periods. Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for sales transactions and inventory counts. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising principles, and grocery store operations is advantageous. Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
