A Cashier/Expiditer is responsible for providing excellent, efficient customer service to our guests. This service is provided at the point of sale (POS) terminal, in the dining room, and at Expo. Cashiers will take orders, run food, maintain a clean and organized dining room, bag and deliver to go orders, and complete prep for service.

DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES

Service:

o Greeting guests upon arrival. o Providing excellent customer service during guests dining experience, from entry to the restaurant through departure and everything in between. o Memorize the menu at your location. 

Sanitation:

o Sweep and mop floors. o Sanitize and wipe down tables and other surfaces. o Clean bathrooms. o Complete opening and closing procedures as directed by your supervisor.

Prep:

o Portion out prepared food for service. o Prepare to go boxes for the kitchen. o Maintain beverage and salsa stations.

ATTITUDE

 Friendly.  Possess a sense of urgency.  Natural ability to connect with others quickly.  Intuitive.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Minimum o Able to speak English. o Comfortable working with a team. o Basic math knowledge, particularly addition and subtraction. o Able to take constructive criticism. o Able to handle conflict with potential guest issues. o Ability to read and follow instructions. o Good verbal communication skills. o Comfortable with technology (POS systems, printers, KDS, etc). o Able to multitask and prioritize on the fly.  Preferred o Prior experience in a retail or restaurant job. o Can speak English and Spanish.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 Able to lift 25+ pounds.  Able to stand on their feet for 8 hours uninterrupted.  Able to be stationary for multiple hours at a time completing repetitive tasks.  Able to move quickly throughout the restaurant.  Able to access and navigate all areas of the restaurant.  Able to work in excessive heat and cold associated with the kitchen environment.
