The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately handling transactions. This role requires a strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as they can enhance our customer service experience. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases. Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately. Process payments through various methods including credit/debit cards and gift cards. Maintain knowledge of store promotions, sales, and product locations to assist customers effectively. Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining inventory as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale systems is a plus. Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls when necessary. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to better serve our community. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
