The ideal candidate will provide welcoming service, accurately process orders and payments, operate the POS system, answer guest questions, and help maintain an organized and efficient front-of-house environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service Take food and beverage orders accurately Operate the POS system and process transactions efficiently Accept cash, credit cards, and other approved payment methods Provide accurate change and follow cash-handling procedures Answer guest questions about menu items, prices, and available options Ensure orders are entered correctly and communicated to the appropriate team members Assist with packaging takeout and pickup orders when needed Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming cashier and counter area Restock menus, packaging, condiments, napkins, and other front-of-house supplies Assist guests with special requests and concerns in a professional manner Follow restaurant, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures Assist team members during busy service periods Support opening, closing, and daily cashier duties Perform additional responsibilities assigned by management Requirements Previous cashier, restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience preferred but not required Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic cash-handling and POS experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and order accuracy Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to work effectively as part of a team Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits Competitive compensation Flexible scheduling options On-the-job training Employee dining or discount opportunities may be available Supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunities for professional growth and advancement About the Company Chix on the Beach is focused on providing guests with a welcoming restaurant experience, quality food and beverages, and friendly service.
