A Head Cashier manages all checkout functions including ensuring adequate staffing levels on checkouts, the processing of sales transactions and refunds, monitoring cash drawer amounts and maintaining the checkout area. Head cashier provides first level escalation for customer issues and assists in the supervision and training of cashiers. Head cashier may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures of a store, including alarm operation, unlocking store and setting up of checkout area.

This position offers an engaging opportunity to develop retail and deli skills, enhance communication abilities, and be part of a vibrant community-focused team.

Some Responsibilities Include:

Greet customers warmly with a smile and a hello. Operate the cash register (POS system), handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain accurate cash drawer balancing. Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure products are properly displayed according to merchandising standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, deli, and outdoor environment. Manage retail sales transactions efficiently while and customer service best practices. Work in the deli to provide delicious hot foods. Previous experience with POS systems, deli or food service preferred but not necessary training is provided. Strong communication skills to engage with customers and co-workers professionally. Ability to perform basic math accurately for retail math calculations, cash handling, and balancing cash drawers. Pay:

$17.13 - $19.00 per hour
