Job Summary Bakery & Bistro Leader We are looking for a dependable, organized, and guest-focused Bakery & Bistro Leader to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working directly with guests while also helping oversee daily operations and supporting the team. This position is designed as a stepping stone into an Assistant Manager role for the right person. The lead will take on many day-to-day leadership responsibilities while learning our operations, team, and expectations. This gives us the opportunity to see your leadership style, decision-making, reliability, and ability to manage our busy environment before moving into a full management position. The ideal candidate is someone who doesn't want just a job- they're interested in growing into management and are comfortable taking ownership of a shift, supporting the team, solving problems, and helping ensure our guests receive an excellent experience. The Bakery & Bistro Lead will work alongside our staff, primarily at the bakery counter, while helping ensure that each shift runs smoothly, guests receive excellent service, and opening or closing responsibilities are completed properly. Responsibilities
  • Work the bakery counter and provide friendly, attentive service to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Greet guests, answer questions, take orders, package bakery items, and assist with purchases
  • Help oversee the flow of the bakery and bistro during assigned shifts
  • Lead by example and help keep team members productive, organized, and focused on guest service
  • Assist employees with questions and help resolve guest concerns when needed
  • Communicate effectively with bakery, kitchen, and front-of-house team members
  • Help ensure cleanliness, organization, presentation, and stocking standards are maintained throughout the shift
  • Delegate and verify side work and closing responsibilities
  • Ensure closing duties are completed thoroughly before employees leave
  • Check that appropriate equipment and appliances are properly shut down at the end of the night
  • Ensure registers, cash, and other closing procedures are handled appropriately
  • Make sure employees have clocked out and exited the building at the end of the shift
  • Complete a final walkthrough of the bakery and bistro, checking doors, equipment, and other designated areas
  • Communicate shift issues, maintenance concerns, guest feedback, or other important information to management
  • Follow and help reinforce company policies, food-safety procedures, and service standards What We're Looking For Our ideal Bakery & Bistro Lead is someone who is:

  • Trustworthy and responsible — comfortable being entrusted with keys, alarms, cash-handling procedures, and securing the building Previous restaurant, bakery, café, retail, or customer-service experience is preferred.
Previous leadership experience is a plus. This is a working leadership position, meaning our Leads are expected to work alongside the team while also taking ownership of the guest experience and the successful operation of their shift.
Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
