Description:

Cashiers primarily accept payment from customers in the form of cash, credit or debit card, check or other forms of payment. They issue the customer's receipt of payment and return the correct change due as necessary for cash payments. They assist customers by answering questions about products, product locations, services or other company policies and procedures. Cashiers may also authorize and issue exchanges or refunds. Since Cashiers are often located at the front of the business, they may greet customers entering the establishment.

Job Duties:

Provide positive customer experience Retail transactions on cash register by reading the price tags Collecting payment in cash, check, or credit/debit from customers Make accurate change Resolve customer issues and answer questions when possible Light cleaning and janitorial duties as needed Other duties as assigned

Experience:

Knowledge or experience multiple cashier systems a plus Accurate math skills and ability to make change Ability to calculate sales and change quickly Accountability and accuracy in reconciling sales receipts Oriented toward serving others and helping customers Customer-service skills

Required:

Able to pass criminal background check Work independently and be self-motivated Communicate and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds Remain calm in stressful situations and follow safety protocols Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Excellent verbal communication Ability to work in a fast-paced Attention to detail
