Duties Operate the cash register and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, returns, and exchanges. Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and other payment methods with precision, ensuring proper cash drawer handling and balancing at shift end. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions about products, and assisting with product demos when needed. Upsell merchandise and promote store specials or new products to enhance sales opportunities. Stock shelves, organize displays, and assist in merchandising efforts to maintain an attractive shopping environment. Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or providing support over the phone. Support inventory management by assisting with stocking and inventory counts as directed by supervisors. Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members, ensuring a positive shopping experience. Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in a retail environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is highly desirable. Strong retail math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing cash drawers confidently. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer needs effectively. Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities within the team. Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and basic math skills are beneficial.
