We're looking for someone to join our front of house team- you'll spend your time making our customers smile, talking about bread, pouring coffee and making sure our shop is fully stocked. You'll need to be 18 years old, able to lift a 50 lbs, able to bend, crouch, and stand on your feet for an 8 hour shift. The ideal candidate is outgoing, loves to chat and forge connections with our regulars, communicate in English, and can prioritize tasks efficiently. We offer tip sharing amongst all employees, in the kitchen and front of house. This would be 15-30 hours a week, and weekend shifts are essential. Responsibilities Assist customers with their bakery orders, providing friendly and efficient service Prepare and package baked goods, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met Operate Toast POS system for retail sales transactions and cash register operations Manage food handling procedures in accordance with food safety standards Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including sanitation of surfaces and equipment Restock bakery displays and ensure products are properly labeled and organized Upsell bakery items to enhance customer experience and increase sales Process cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations Operate kitchen equipment safely for food preparation tasks Assist with bussing, sanitation, and general kitchen duties as needed Manage customer orders efficiently using food service customer order management systems Qualifications Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail sales preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to talk about products effectively Ability to handle cash register operations accurately and process cash transactions swiftly Basic math skills for handling retail math, change calculation, and inventory management Experience with food safety management, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods Kitchen or café experience is desirable but not required; training will be provided for specific roles Join our team as a Bakery Clerk to contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while supporting daily bakery operations.
