The Opportunity A hyper-growth, Series A AI platform backed by elite Tier-1 VCs is expanding its central leadership team. Building category-defining infrastructure that automates complex enterprise commercial motions, the business is carving out its inaugural Strategic Finance Lead seat to sit directly alongside executive leadership. This is a high-velocity, high-impact mandate for an analytical operator. Positioned at the intersection of corporate finance, unit economics, and growth strategy, you will build the company's financial backbone from scratch, owning revenue truth, margin strategy, and board-level decision-making as the platform scales.
Key Execution Focus Master Operating Model & Forecasting:
Own the core operating model across revenue, headcount, opex, and cash runway to power long-range planning and rolling forecasts used directly by the C-suite.
Unit Economics & Margin Strategy:
Define key growth and retention metrics while establishing granular gross margin models that account for underlying compute and infrastructure cost drivers.
Commercial & GTM Alignment:
Partner with Product and Go-To-Market leadership on sales capacity, productivity, pricing frameworks, and expansion trade-offs.
Executive & Investor Reporting:
Deliver decision-ready financial packages, board materials, and defensible underwriting models for capital allocation and future diligence.
The Archetype The Foundation:
5+ years of total experience, combining a foundation in investment banking, private equity, or growth equity with strategic finance ownership in a fast-scaling tech environment.
The Analytical Operator:
Deep fluency in SaaS and unit economics with strong modeling capabilities and comfort navigating complex, unstructured data.
The High-Grit Builder:
Thrives in autonomous, high-pace environments with short turnarounds. Operates with full ownership 5 days a week on-site in San Francisco.
