$20/hour + commission Job Overview Pigeon Police is looking for an energetic, personable, and motivated Door-to-Door Appointment Setter / Field Canvasser to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be on the front line of our company, engaging directly with homeowners in targeted neighborhoods, identifying potential pigeon and bird problems, and setting qualified appointments for our sales team. We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong people skills, and the confidence to approach and start conversations with homeowners. This is not a commission-only sales position. You'll receive a guaranteed $20/hour base pay plus commission on qualifying jobs generated from your appointments. You do not need to be an experienced closer. Your job is to start the conversation, identify an opportunity, create interest, and set a qualified appointment. Our sales team handles the estimate and closing process. Responsibilities Knock doors in targeted residential neighborhoods throughout the Greater Sacramento area Confidently and professionally approach homeowners and start conversations Identify homeowners experiencing pigeon or bird-related problems Clearly communicate who Pigeon Police is and how our services can help Generate interest and schedule qualified appointments for our sales team Accurately record leads, conversations, and appointment information Maintain a professional appearance and represent Pigeon Police positively in every interaction Meet weekly activity and appointment-setting goals Work with our team to continuously improve messaging, targeting, and canvassing strategies Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Personable, energetic, and outgoing Positive and able to maintain a good attitude throughout the day Confident approaching and speaking with people they've never met Comfortable working outdoors and walking residential neighborhoods Self-motivated and able to work independently Goal-oriented and motivated by performance Reliable, punctual, and consistent Coachable and willing to follow a proven process Professional in appearance and communication Comfortable hearing "no" and moving on to the next door Able to communicate clearly and naturally with homeowners Previous door-to-door, canvassing, appointment-setting, or field sales experience is strongly preferred. Experience in solar, roofing, pest control, home improvement, security, telecommunications, or other residential door-to-door industries is a plus. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Compensation $20/hour guaranteed base pay + commission In addition to hourly pay, you'll have the opportunity to earn commission on qualifying jobs generated from the appointments you set. The complete commission and performance incentive structure will be discussed during the interview process and provided in writing. There is no stated cap on commission earning potential. Paid Two-Week Introductory Period The position begins with a paid two-week introductory period at $20/hour plus applicable commissions. During your first two weeks, we'll provide training, targeted neighborhoods, expectations, and clear performance goals. We'll be evaluating your: Consistency and work ethic Homeowner conversations Qualified appointments generated Quality of appointments Appointment show rate Professionalism and attitude Ability to learn and follow our process This isn't about simply knocking as many doors as possible. We're looking for someone who can consistently have quality conversations and turn those conversations into legitimate appointments. Candidates who demonstrate strong performance during the introductory period may be offered an ongoing position with Pigeon Police.
