Door-to-door Canvassing Full Job Description Position Overview:
The Field Organizer will work directly with the Field Director and Campaign Manager to execute the campaign's field plan and perform voter outreach forAlbert Chow for Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Field Organizers will be required to conduct direct voter contact either through canvassing, working with community members, and/or NGOs as needed.
  • Help build campaign-based coalitions around the district's local issues and concerns.
  • Conduct door-to-door outreach to connect with voters on behalf of the campaign.
  • Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, answering questions about the candidate's platform and encouraging voter participation.
  • Maintain excellent communication skills by being friendly, outgoing, and persuasive.
  • Accurately record voter preferences and contact information using provided tools and technology.
  • Provide daily updates and reports on progress and voter feedback to your direct supervisor.
  • Adhere to all campaign regulations and guidelines, ensuring ethical and legal canvassing practices.
  • All staff members will be expected to assist with other field positions as necessary, particularly before events or when a position is vacant.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to engage with diverse people with an outgoing and friendly personality.
  • Physical stamina to conduct door-to-door canvassing.
  • Flexible scheduling and availability, including weekends.
  • Reliable transportation and phone service.
  • Some campaign and/or canvassing experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of local issues and politics in San Francisco and District 4 is a plus, but not required.
