Job Description

Worker Power is hiring Community Canvassers to join a progressive campaign in California's 48th Congressional District for the upcoming 2026 midterm elections . This position involves door-to-door canvassing , speaking directly with voters, persuasion, and mobilizing community members in support of progressive candidates and increased voter participation. Qualifications The Community Canvasser position is entry-level. No prior canvassing experience is required.
Successful applicants should be:
Punctual and reliable Energetic and enthusiastic Strong communicators Outgoing and comfortable meeting and talking to new people Comfortable canvassing door-to-door Able to engage voters in meaningful conversations Interested in progressive issues and civic participation Passionate about voting and increasing voter turnout Available to work evenings and weekends
Terms of Employment Pay:
$23.00 per hour
Gas Stipend:
$25.00 Full-time position Part-time options available with a minimum of 3 shifts per week Must be willing to canvass door-to-door Must be available to work evenings and weekends Temporary campaign position for the 2026 midterm elections Opportunities for advancement into leadership positions for canvassers who demonstrate strong performance and leadership skills Schedule The schedule is subject to change based on campaign needs:
Saturday:
9:30 AM
  • 6:00 PM Sunday
  • Wednesday:
    11:30 AM
  • 8:00
