Compensation:

$20/hr Core responsibilities: Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date about Aaron Zimmer's campaign and values Assume responsibility for 50 voters throughout the duration of campaign season Maintain three points of contact with each voter via door-knocking, phone calls, and texts Listen intently to voters and their primary concerns, take notes/track information voters disclose, and return to voters with information about Aaron Zimmer's campaign that aligns with solutions for their concerns Field questions from voters during conversations by referencing Aaron Zimmer's values and goals Utilize the Minivan app to track voter data Establish a positive, professional relationship and rapport with voters Provide voters with campaign information, event details, and voting resources. Attend campaign trainings, team meetings, and field briefings. Meet Take 50 outreach goals, including conversations, calls, texts, and data collection targets. Represent the campaign professionally and uphold all campaign policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Comfortable talking to voters in person and over the phone Able to keep track of voter information without publicly violating their anonymity or overstepping Must have a basic knowledge of current events regarding the CT 30th district state senate race and other relevant races Comfortable using phones and other online campaign resources to support voter outreach Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to assigned turf areas Prior canvassing and/or customer service experience is helpful, but not required

Expectations:

Paid canvassers are expected to spend a minimum of 10 hours total towards the completion of one Take 50 turf between now and election day, with an opportunity to earn more through the completion of additional Take 50 turfs. Paid canvassers are expected to complete at least on Take 50 turf throughout the entirety of campaign season At least one in-person, face-to-face interaction with each voter is required. Checking in via phone calls and text messages are appropriate, but canvassing should not be done exclusively through virtual connections.
