Job Description

Overview We are seeking an energetic and motivated Campaign Canvasser to join the Lizotte for Shelton campaign. In this role, you will be the face of our organization, engaging directly with community members through face-to-face conversations to promote our initiatives and gather support. Your enthusiasm and communication skills will help foster meaningful connections, increase awareness, and drive community engagement. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact while developing valuable skills in canvassing, community outreach, policy, and grassroots campaigns. Responsibilities Conduct door-to-door canvassing in various neighborhoods to promote campaigns and gather community feedback Engage in friendly, face-to-face conversations with residents, explaining campaign goals and answering questions Utilize mobile devices to record interactions, track progress, and manage contact information efficiently Build rapport with diverse community members through conversational engagement and active listening Collaborate with team members to strategize outreach plans and share insights on community needs Experience •No experience necessary, we will train you on the job• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle conversations tactfully while promoting campaign goals Bilingual abilities are highly valued for engaging with diverse populations Comfortable using mobile devices for data entry and communication during canvassing activities Motivation to learn more about the local political process and public policy preferred
