Job Description
Get Paid to Support Older Adults in Your Community! Grassroots Campaigns is seeking full-time Community Organizers for a 6-week outreach campaign serving Kendall, Will, and Grundy counties. This campaign focuses on connecting older adults and individuals with disabilities to meal delivery programs, wellness resources, and community support services that promote health, safety, and independent living. Key Responsibilities of Organizers Going door-to-door to have conversations with community members Educate community members about available meal delivery and wellness programs Connect eligible community members with local support services Distribute informational materials and increase awareness of community resources Make a direct impact that helps connect people with life-changing support Position Details Full-time, temporary position (6 weeks during June and July) $20/hour Paid training provided Flexible scheduling options on what days you work 5 days per week Opportunities for advancement and continued community outreach work Qualifications Strong interpersonal and communication skills Comfortable engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds Self-motivated, dependable, and professional Ability to remain positive and persistent in a field outreach environment Interest in community organizing, public service, nonprofit work, or outreach programs Join a team dedicated to strengthening community connections and improving access to essential services for older adults and individuals with disabilities.
