INTRODUCTION

Civic360, LLC is hiring GOTV Field Canvassers on behalf of the North Carolina League of Conservation Voters Foundation - Power The Vote NC (NCLCVF-PTVNC) Civic Engagement Program in our Greenville office. The GOTV Field Canvasser role will operate in support of the program's 2024 Get-Out-the-Vote (GOTV) efforts which involves nonpartisan integrated voter engagement, voter education and civic engagement outreach.

seeks to further the NCLCVF mission to turn environmental values into NC priorities by engaging frontline communities through voter registration, advocacy, civic education, leadership development, organizing communities to connect environmental policies to people's daily lives and lifting voices to "become the change that they want to see". program is improving access to and trust in our democracy, so that communities that our country have historically left out of the decision-making process can reclaim their rightful influence. We do this by advocating for environmental policies, structural democracy reform, voter registration, voter education and transformational community.

POSITION SUMMARY

The GOTV Field Canvasser role will serve in a critical role of working on the front line of helping to advance NCLCVF-PTVNC's mission through nonpartisan voter engagement outreach efforts including civic engagement activities, Get-Out-The-Vote and phone banking campaigns, community education, voter registration and organizing efforts surrounding electoral field work that advance and advocate around social and environmental issues affecting communities of color in a non-partisan way.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct voter and civic engagement outreach activities, including but not limited to site-based canvassing, voter registration assistance, phone banking, text banking, and event participation in support of mobilizing registered voters for GOTV program efforts Represent the organization positively within the community and engage with registered voters to inform them on early voting information, polling locations and making plans to vote Participate in community and public events to encourage informed and get out the vote participation Participate in training and role plays to ensure creative outreach strategies, using informed and get out the vote scripts to engage voters Participate in daily check-in and team meetings in effort to drive voter engagement and work towards consistently achieving daily and program goals Utilize technology and apps for data entry and reporting in support of GOTV program efforts Ensure the integrity and accountability of the program and comply with strict quality control protocols, including overall call quality during phone banking

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Successful candidates will possess the following: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Disciplined self-started and motivated with willingness to learn and adapt Ability to work respectfully and interact within communicate with people of diverse backgrounds Timeliness in attendance to work and completion of tasks to meet daily/weekly goals Willing to comply with strict rules against partisan activities or electioneering during work time. Experience using computers/handheld devices; ability to enter/maintain data responsibly in compliance with voter engagement process, tools, and software. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience canvassing, organizing or community engagement.
