Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Join Lisa Kaul's campaign for NY State Senate District 39! The Field Organizer (FO) is responsible for executing the day-to-day field and voter contact program for Lisa Kaul under the direction of the Field Director (FD). Field Organizers play a key role in building a strong volunteer operation, engaging voters, supporting field events, and ensuring accurate and timely data collection. This is a field-based position that requires regular interaction with voters, volunteers, and community members. The Field Organizer should expect to spend significant time working in the community, attending events, conducting voter outreach, and supporting volunteer activities. Campaign work often requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, particularly during high-volume periods. The schedule may vary based on campaign needs and the election calendar.
Required:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Comfort speaking with and recruiting volunteers and engaging directly with voters. Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn new databases and organizing tools quickly. Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required by the campaign. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout the assigned organizing area, as needed. Essential duties involve regularly moving across outdoor residential and commercial areas for the duration of a shift to distribute materials and conduct face-to-face outreach Represent the campaign professionally and respectfully when interacting with voters, volunteers, community organizations, and members of the public. Participate in regular staff meetings, training, and campaign-wide activities.
Preferred:
Prior campaign experience Familiarity with MiniVAN, Votebuilder, Scale to Win Management or training experience

$4,000.00 - $4,500.00 per month
