Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Door-to-Door Canvassing Associate, where your energy and communication skills will drive community engagement and support vital initiatives. In this role, you will actively connect with residents of the 28th Ward through face-to-face interactions, promoting Precious Joy Frasier for Alderwoman of the 28th ward, and gathering valuable feedback, and signature to get Precious on the Election Ballot. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your community outreach skills while making a tangible difference in local neighborhoods. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster meaningful relationships and expand our community presence. Duties Engage with residents through friendly, face-to-face conversations to promote programs or initiatives Conduct door-to-door canvassing in assigned neighborhoods, ensuring respectful and professional interactions Utilize mobile devices to record data, track outreach efforts, and communicate with team members Distribute informational materials and answer questions to inform community members about Precious candidacy run Identify and qualify potential supporters or participants for programs or fundraising efforts Maintain a positive attitude while walking through outdoor environments for extended periods in various weather conditions Collaborate with team members to meet outreach goals and share insights from community interactions Qualifications Prior experience in field sales, canvassing, or community engagement preferred but not required; training provided Strong face-to-face communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively Bilingual abilities are a plus to connect with a broader range of community members Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Comfortable walking outdoors for long durations and working in various weather conditions Experience with mobile devices for data entry or communication is advantageous Supervising experience or leadership skills are beneficial for team coordination roles This paid position is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about community outreach, sales, or marketing.
