Description:

Person communicating via phone and text with voters and SEIU members Specific responsibilities: Calling voters & SEIU members throughout Minnesota Engaging in conversations through phone and text about the election, voting, candidates, policies, and values using SEIU approved messaging Responding to incoming questions about candidates and issues Recording accurate data about responses Helping develop future messages by providing feedback about conversations in regular team and individual check-ins Required qualifications: Reliable access to WiFi, a phone, headphones, and a device with a browser Computer proficiency & comfort using web-based technology Basic understanding of the electoral and legislative process in Minnesota Comfort with routinely making "cold" contact with strangers of many backgrounds Strong communication skills Able to work independently & remotely, reporting hours reliably Preferred qualifications: Some canvassing or organizing experience, paid or unpaid Current or recent resident of Minnesota Job details: 20-30 hours per week, min/max negotiable 4PM-8PM weekdays & weekend daytime hours in October Must be available by phone or video for a weekly team meeting $23.57 per hour Seasonal, temporary job through 11/3/2026 SEIU MN State Council is located in Saint Paul. This position is remote. The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) represents approximately 71,000 essential workers across Minnesota who provide care and support for your family in your homes, hospitals, clinics, public schools, nursing homes, hotels, universities and the Twin Cities' largest public and private buildings, and who make and distribute products used by Minnesotans every day.
