Field Director and Deputy Field Director :
$18 per hour, $20 per hour after 1 month of employment.
Part-Time Position :
ASAP; Hiring on rolling-basis Position Summary Congressman Vicente Gonzalez is seeking Paid Canvassers to knock on doors, engage in conversations with voters, and ensure that he wins re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives this November. This position will run from early August through early November. Paid Canvassers must be able to knock on doors in Cameron and Nueces Counties from August to Election Day, November 3rd. Canvassers will also be responsible for contributing to the overall success of the campaign as needed and as determined by the Field Dir., Deputy Field Dir., or the Campaign Manager. Key Responsibilities Engage with voters through door-to-door canvassing Have meaningful conversations about the campaign and its priorities Track and report voter contact data accurately using campaign tools Recruit volunteers for the campaign at the doors Qualifications Strong interpersonal and communication skills Comfortable engaging voters from diverse backgrounds Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Willingness to work afternoons and evenings outdoors, while adhering to campaign safety protocols (i.e hydrating, applying sunscreen, being aware of how you are handling exposure to excessive heat) Prior campaign or organizing experience is a plus but not required Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred. Local or South Texas residence is a plus but not required A deep caring of local issues, democratic participation, and the reelection of Congressman Vicente Gonzalez Requirements Must have a smartphone (iPhone or Android) with a high or unlimited data package Must have a car, valid driver's licence, and insurance How to Apply Submit a resume, your day-to-day availability, and a brief statement explaining why you want to join the team to .
