Duties Conduct door-to-door canvassing in various neighborhoods to promote programs, services, or initiatives. Engage in face-to-face conversations with community members using effective communication and conversational engagement techniques. Distribute informational materials and answer questions about the organization's mission and activities. Collect feedback and gather support for campaigns or fundraising efforts through respectful dialogue. Utilize mobile devices to record interactions, track progress, and report on outreach activities. Build rapport with diverse community members, demonstrating strong customer service skills. Collaborate with team members to strategize outreach approaches and achieve campaign goals. Skills Proven experience in field sales, canvassing, or outdoor work environments. Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to engage in meaningful conversations face-to-face. Experience in community engagement or fundraising initiatives is highly desirable. Supervising experience or leadership skills for guiding new team members is a plus. Bilingual abilities to communicate effectively with diverse populations are preferred. Comfortable walking extensively outdoors using transportation methods such as walking or biking. Skilled in negotiation and persuasive communication to motivate support and participation. Familiarity with mobile devices for data entry and reporting during outreach activities. Customer service experience that emphasizes respectful listening and relationship building. Knowledge of marketing principles and telemarketing techniques can enhance outreach effectiveness.
