Paid Canvasser (Part time)

Description:

Rural GroundGame is seeking to hire highly motivated individuals to conduct direct voter contact in the Black community in support of Democratic candidates. This will be done via door-to-door canvassing in the City of Lynchburg, VA. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable talking to and encouraging members of their communities to cast a ballot in the upcoming election. This position reports directly to the Special Operations Manager. This is a part time, 20 hour per week position. This is a temporary position through November 3.

Expectations:

Direct voter contact through door to door canvassing Ensuring data is collected accurately and in a timely manner Meeting weekly DVC goals Perform other job duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Previous canvassing experience is beneficial but not required. Ability to work outdoors for extended periods Strong verbal communication skills Flexibility to work non traditional hours (evenings and weekends) Valid driver's license (preferred but not required) Commitment to the values of the Democratic Party Locals to Lynchburg or the immediate surrounding area are highly preferred

Compensation:

Canvassers are paid $20 an hour.

Pay:

$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
