Door-to-Door Canvasser / Appointment Setter - Landscaping Verdant Valley Landscaping Roanoke, VA Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Full-time From $18 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications Outdoor work experience Full Job Description Verdant Valley is a growing landscaping company serving homeowners throughout the Roanoke area, and we're looking for an outgoing, dependable person to join our team as a Door-to-Door Canvasser / Appointment Setter . This is not a high-pressure door-to-door sales position. Your job is to introduce homeowners to Verdant Valley, have a brief conversation about their property, identify potential landscaping needs, and offer to schedule a free property evaluation and estimate with a member of our team. You generate the opportunity — we handle the estimate and close the sale. This is a great position for someone who is comfortable talking to people, enjoys being outside, and wants a part-time job where strong performance can directly increase their earnings. What You'll Do Walk targeted residential neighborhoods and speak with homeowners Introduce Verdant Valley and briefly explain our landscaping services Ask questions to identify landscaping needs or projects the homeowner may be considering Offer qualified homeowners a free property evaluation/estimate Schedule appointments for our estimator to visit the property Keep accurate notes and contact information for each lead Represent Verdant Valley professionally and respectfully in the community Follow up with promising homeowners when appropriate What We're Looking For No landscaping or door-to-door experience is required. We can teach you the services and the process. We're primarily looking for someone who is: Friendly, confident, and comfortable approaching new people Able to handle rejection without getting discouraged Self-motivated and willing to work independently Reliable and consistent Comfortable walking and working outdoors Coachable and willing to learn a proven approach Professional and respectful with homeowners Competitive and motivated by performance-based compensation Previous experience in canvassing, appointment setting, sales, customer service, fundraising, hospitality, landscaping, or other people-facing work is a plus, but not required. Instead, you'll be offering homeowners an opportunity to have an experienced landscaping professional look at their property, discuss what they would like to improve, provide recommendations, and give them an estimate. You'll receive training on: How to approach homeowners and start conversations How to identify common landscaping needs How to explain Verdant Valley's services How to respond to common homeowner questions and objections How to turn a good conversation into a scheduled property evaluation For the right person, there may also be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and grow with the company. HOURLY RATE

+ performance-based bonuses We want strong canvassers to be rewarded for producing quality opportunities for the company. Compensation can include bonuses based on qualified appointments and/or sales generated from your appointments.
