Join us. When storms roll in and the grid is uncertain, Rack Electric is there. As a Distributed Energy Generator Service Specialist, you'll be the trusted expert who keeps home and business generators ready—through disciplined maintenance, sharp troubleshooting, and smart use of controls like ATS, load shedding, and surge protection. Your impact Keep residential and commercial generators operating at their best through scheduled bi-annual maintenance. Install and service monitoring equipment so customers and our team stay informed. Diagnose and repair operational issues on generators and related systems. Maintain a paperless workflow in our CRM to capture notes, photos, and results. Support customers during critical moments as part of a one-week-at-a-time on-call rotation. Who you are Professional, courteous, clear communicator, and detail oriented. Mechanically inclined with solid technical aptitude; electrical background is a plus. Familiar with—or eager to learn—ATS logic, load shedding, and surge protection. Own basic electrical and plumbing tools with testing equipment. Methodical and procedure-focused; willing to be cross-trained across divisions. Physically prepared to lift up to 70 lbs on rare occasions and to bend, stoop, squat, and kneel for extended periods. Capable of working in extreme heat, wind, and rain. Generator knowledge is a huge plus, and we provide training on basic features and benefits. Work setup
