Position Summary The Home Energy Consultant is responsible for engaging homeowners through outbound communication and in-person presentations to promote participation in energy efficiency programs. This role focuses on educating customers, clearly presenting program benefits, and guiding them through the enrollment process. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and enjoys building relationships, delivering presentations, and driving results. This position offers a combination of hourly base pay, commission, and performance-based incentives. Key Responsibilities Conduct outbound phone outreach using company-provided, qualified leads Deliver clear, engaging presentations to homeowners explaining program benefits, eligibility, and enrollment steps Build rapport and trust with homeowners through effective communication and professionalism Guide customers through the enrollment process, ensuring accuracy and completion Utilize company technology (iPad, laptop, and enrollment platforms) to present materials and register participants Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer interactions and enrollments Travel to designated program areas to conduct presentations and outreach as required Represent the company and its programs professionally at all times Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and a seamless customer experience Meet or exceed individual performance goals, including enrollment targets and conversion rates

Qualifications Required:

Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred:

Experience in sales, communications, public relations, marketing, or customer engagement Prior experience with presentations, public speaking, or customer-facing roles Skills & Competencies Strong verbal communication and presentation skills Ability to explain complex information in a clear, engaging manner Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills Self-motivated with a goal-oriented mindset Strong organizational and time management skills Comfortable using technology, including tablets, laptops, and digital platforms Adaptability in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment Work Environment & Travel Requirements Frequent travel required based on program needs Overnight travel expected approximately 3-4 nights per week Field-based role with a combination of remote outreach and in-person presentations Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings when necessary Compensation & Benefits Hourly base pay plus uncapped commission and bonus incentives Weekly payroll, paid one week in arrears Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) Company-provided equipment (as applicable)
