Energy Assistance Program Eligibility Specialist OVO is hiring for our Energy Assistance Program. We are looking for a skilled Program Eligibility Specialist for our Madison office.

Interested candidates should exhibit the following

Excellent customer service skills Excellent communication skills (in-person, telephone, email) Detail oriented Professional background and personal presentation even outside of work Strong work ethic that includes being a self-starter and takes initiative Personable with a high level of common sense Tolerance of strong constructive criticism that comes with fast training Ability to follow through and acknowledge mistakes by fixing them The ability to work with strong personalities who require the best of our employees Fast learner that retains information quickly Enjoys working with the public Helps maintain a clean workspace Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check. Must submit to pre-employment typing and accuracy testing.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Meet with clients, process applications, and assist with addressing utility crisis. Assist applicants with program application completion and review all documents with the applicant. Read, verify, and accurately interpret all applicable income source documentation. Accurately calculate income in accordance with program guidelines. Input data necessary to complete and print all required forms. Input the completed application into data base for benefits determination. Advise crisis applicants on benefits determination. Prepare and submit timely reports as requested. Record daily activities and referrals into the state wide data base.
