We sell, design, install, and service every system in-house. We're growing our sales team and looking for two motivated, independent sales representatives to sell residential solar and battery storage. The Role You'll run in-home and virtual consultations with homeowners interested in solar and battery storage, walk them through their current energy costs versus what a system would save them, present financing options, and close the deal. This is a 1099 independent contractor position commission-based, with real earning potential and no ceiling on what you can make. What You'll Do Run consultations that cover a customer's utility bill, system design, financing options (cash, lease, or financing), and a clear, honest answer to "does this make sense for me" Present accurate pricing and savings estimates, and help customers understand incentive timing, including the federal solar tax credit and Maryland's net metering program Handle objections honestly no pressure tactics, no overpromising Document every consultation and keep your pipeline current Hand off signed deals cleanly to our operations team so nothing gets lost between the sale and the install Follow up consistently with prospects who aren't ready yet What We're Looking For Prior sales experience required; solar, battery storage, home improvement, or related industry experience is a strong plus Comfortable discussing financial numbers with customers you don't need to be an accountant, but you need to be able to explain monthly costs, savings, and financing clearly Self-motivated and able to manage your own schedule and pipeline as an independent contractor Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Strong communicator who can build trust quickly and follow through on commitments Comfortable in a home visit setting with a laptop or tablet in hand Compensation 1099 independent contractor, commission-based with uncapped earning potential Paid on installed deals Both self-generated and company-provided leads available Why 410 Energy We install and service everything ourselves you're not selling on behalf of a company that disappears after the sale, and that's a real trust advantage in front of a customer Structured onboarding and sales support, including call scripts, a consultation worksheet, and a customer leave-behind, so you're not building your pitch from scratch MHIC licensed, local reputation, real projects and reviews you can point to Room to grow as we build out our in-house sales team
