The Nevada Energy Workforce Accelerator (NEWA) provides eligible Nevada residents with tuition-free training for careers in energy efficiency, weatherization, building science, HVAC-related work, energy auditing, and other growing energy fields. You do NOT need previous energy-industry experience. If you've worked in construction, maintenance, HVAC, electrical, mechanical work, hospitality, customer service, sales, warehousing, or another field, you may already have transferable skills we can help you build upon. What NEWA Can Offer You Depending on your goals and experience, participants may have access to: Tuition-free Everblue courses Building Science Principles and BPI training pathways Weatherization and energy-efficiency training HVAC and heat-pump education Energy Auditor career pathways Industry-recognized credentials Career and employment support Resume and interview assistance Connections to workforce partners and potential employers Online and in-person training opportunities FREE College Credit Opportunity NEWA also partners with Western Nevada College (WNC) , giving eligible participants an opportunity to receive college credit at no cost for qualifying training.
