Evercore's Houston Energy Advisory Team has 75+ energy advisory professionals and is the leading ranked advisor, having collectively advised on 300+ energy M&A transactions since 2014 across Energy verticals including upstream, midstream, downstream, oil field services, petrochemicals, power, and low carbon segments What is the position? Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Analyst for its Energy - Oil & Gas Advisory group located in Houston, TX.

Primary Responsibilities:

Evercore's unique market position provides Analysts the ability to work closely with senior bankers on industry-transforming, multi-billion dollar transactions in markets around the world. The small transaction team structure provides the Analyst with a strong platform to learn investment banking and assume high levels of responsibility at early stages of the individual's career. As part of the team, the Analyst will have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments including: buy-side M&A, sell-side M&A, portfolio separations and breakups, balance sheet restructurings, evaluation of strategic alternatives and assistance in raising debt or equity financing.

Specific Qualifications:

The Analyst will be ambitious, self-directed, creative and resourceful. The candidate will be passionately interested in a career in investment banking, intellectually curious and eager to learn. We are seeking an academically accomplished candidate with the ability to multitask. This position comes with challenging work and a demanding environment in a rapidly growing firm.

The ideal candidate will have:

1-2 years of relevant work experience An excellent, team-based attitude Relentless work ethic and high energy level Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint Exceptional attention to detail Calm under pressure with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously Intellectual curiosity and an interest in finance

Expected Base Salary Range:

$120,000 - $140,000 In addition to a competitive base salary, employees may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus delivered in the form of cash and/or deferred equity.
