This role combines outside sales, business development, provider relations, community outreach, and marketing to build sustainable referral relationships and increase community visibility. The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with strong business acumen who can identify opportunities, develop a territory, and turn relationships into measurable growth. The role also provides exposure to the broader healthcare business landscape, including strategic affiliations, and potential acquisition opportunities. This is a field-based sales position that extends beyond a traditional 9-5 schedule . Success requires flexibility and a strong community presence, including availability for evenings, and weekend events as business, networking, and community outreach opportunities require. Compensation This position offers a base salary of $25,000 per year plus commission, providing significant earning potential based on individual sales performance and results. Total compensation will vary based on performance and commissions earned.
Responsibilities Drive Pharmacy Growth:
Generate new patients and prescriptions for assigned pharmacy locations while consistently working toward established growth and performance goals.
Build & Maintain Referral Relationships:
Develop strong relationships with healthcare providers, clinics, case managers, community organizations, treatment centers, and other referral sources to create sustainable patient pipelines.
Community Outreach, Marketing & Visibility:
Represent the organization through community events, health fairs, provider outreach, partnerships, and other strategic opportunities. Support local marketing and social media efforts by creating and participating in engaging content that increases awareness of pharmacy, healthcare, prevention, and other available services while generating new patient referrals.
Promote Healthcare & Pharmacy Services:
Educate providers, partners, patients, and community members about available pharmacy and healthcare services, including HIV prevention and treatment, PrEP/PEP, medication delivery, adherence support, patient assistance programs, insurance navigation, and other resources.
Patient Acquisition & Retention:
Identify opportunities to connect new patients to appropriate healthcare and pharmacy services while supporting patient retention and re-engagement initiatives.
Territory Development:
Develop and execute a strategic outreach plan for the assigned territory. Prospect new referral sources, identify growth opportunities, analyze market potential, and maintain a consistent field presence.
Provider & Partner Follow-Up:
Maintain regular communication with referral partners, follow referrals through the process, identify and troubleshoot barriers, and help ensure patients successfully connect with appropriate services.
Sales Activity & CRM Management:
Accurately document outreach, leads, referrals, partner activity, follow-ups, opportunities, and outcomes in Salesforce or other designated CRM and tracking systems.
Meet Performance Expectations:
Maintain an active sales pipeline, prioritize high-value opportunities, and remain accountable for pharmacy growth, patient acquisition, outreach activity, relationship development, and assigned KPIs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with pharmacy, clinical, wellness, linkage, public health, marketing, operations, and leadership teams to support organizational growth and provide a seamless experience for patients and community partners. Represent the

Qualifications Required / Preferred Required Strong sales, business development, relationship-building, and networking skills. Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand market dynamics, recognize growth opportunities, assess potential partnerships, and connect sales activities to broader organizational objectives. Ability to use data, performance trends, and market insights to prioritize opportunities and make strategic territory decisions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently engage healthcare providers, community leaders, organizations, and prospective partners. Ability to prospect, develop leads, build a referral pipeline, and consistently follow opportunities through to completion. Strong organizational and territory-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple accounts, opportunities, events, and follow-ups. Ability to conduct presentations and effectively communicate AHF services and value propositions. Comfortable using CRM systems such as Salesforce to document activities, manage opportunities, and track results. Understanding of confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance within a healthcare environment. Preferred Previous sales experience in any industry, with a demonstrated ability to build relationships, develop new business, manage a pipeline, and achieve measurable results. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, providers, community organizations, and referral partners in both languages. Additional language skills, particularly Haitian Creole, are a plus depending on the assigned territory. Healthcare, pharmacy, pharmaceutical, provider relations, or community outreach experience is a plus but not required. Knowledge of HIV treatment and prevention, including PrEP and PEP, or the ability to quickly develop this knowledge. Familiarity with 340B, covered entities, contract pharmacy relationships, TPAs, and healthcare partnership models. Experience identifying or developing strategic partnerships, affiliations, and potential acquisition opportunities. Demonstrated understanding of business development, including revenue drivers, competitive positioning, market opportunities, and partnership development. Existing relationships with healthcare providers, businesses, community organizations, or other referral sources within the assigned market. Experience with community marketing, social media, grassroots outreach, and community visibility to increase awareness and generate new business. Demonstrated ability to develop a territory, establish new relationships, and convert those relationships into measurable growth.
