Job Description
Successful Benefits Counselors focus on:
- Acquiring a broad knowledge of group and individual voluntary product portfolio and service offerings, including Colonial Life's products and services
- Attending group meetings and preparing employee enrollment packets (brochures, forms, rate sheets, etc.).
- Conducting 1-to-1 enrollment sessions and enrolling new policies.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence, persuade, and communicate effectively (oral and written).
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive, results-driven with a "can-do" attitude and strong commitment.
- Proficient in health insurance and Microsoft Excel.
- Life and health license required (can be obtained through Colonial Life).
