This leadership role oversees the Membership Consultant team, develops strategic initiatives to drive membership growth, cultivates corporate partnerships, and collaborates across departments to ensure Tucson Racquet & Fitness Club remains the premier private health and racquet club in Southern Arizona. The ideal candidate is an energetic leader who thrives on building relationships, developing high-performing teams, analyzing business performance, and continuously improving the member experience. Primary Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop the Membership Consultant team to achieve individual and departmental goals. Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor new team members. Create and manage staff schedules to ensure excellent member coverage. Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions and performance evaluations. Foster a positive, accountable, and service-focused team culture. Membership Sales & Business Growth Develop and execute strategies to increase membership sales, retention, and overall club revenue. Manage departmental budget and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including membership growth, revenue, lead conversion, and retention. Establish measurable goals and regularly review performance metrics with leadership. Analyze reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Corporate Membership Development Identify, contact, and secure new corporate membership partnerships. Maintain existing corporate relationships through exceptional communication and service. Represent the club professionally within the community to generate new business opportunities. Member Experience Serve as the primary resource for resolving member concerns with professionalism and empathy. Collaborate with department managers to continually improve the overall member experience. Work closely with the Event Coordinator to enhance member engagement through events such as Member Happy Hours, Movie Nights, tournaments, and appreciation events. Develop strategies that increase member satisfaction and long-term loyalty. Marketing & Communication Partner with the Marketing team to develop membership promotions, referral programs, and sales campaigns. Communicate effectively with members using the club's digital platforms, including: Club App Email campaigns SMS/Text messaging Newsletters Internal communication systems Ensure messaging is timely, professional, and aligned with the club's brand. Operations & Administration Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and internal club management software to generate reports and analyze data. Maintain accurate membership records and reporting. Track sales performance and prepare reports for senior leadership. Identify operational improvements that increase efficiency and member satisfaction. Leadership & Collaboration Serve as a member of the club's leadership team and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making. Collaborate with department heads to improve club operations, programming, and member services. Champion a culture of continuous improvement and exceptional hospitality throughout the organization. Qualifications Required 3+ years of leadership experience in membership sales, hospitality, health clubs, recreation, or customer service. Proven experience leading and motivating teams. Strong sales, relationship-building, and customer service skills. Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities. Experience managing budgets and performance metrics. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Comfortable learning and utilizing membership management software and other technology platforms. Preferred Experience in a health club, country club, fitness, hospitality, or membership-based organization. College degree with Health or Business backgrounds Experience with CRM or membership management software. Experience developing corporate partnerships or business development initiatives.
