Job Description

The National at Ave Maria Golf Club, located in Ave Maria, FL , is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Pickleball Professional ! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of tennis club operations. As an associate of Troon , you'll contribute to a global leader in tennis, golf, and community management.
General Purpose:
The Pickleball Professional will play a key role in developing and growing our pickleball program through instruction, leagues, tournaments, special events, and outstanding member service. In addition to on-court responsibilities, this position will assist with daily operations in the Racquet Sports Pro Shop.
Compensation:
Hourly wage for Pro Shop and operational duties Additional compensation through commissions for private lessons and clinics
Schedule:
Ability to commit to 30-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday Weekend availability as needed for tournaments, leagues, and special events
Key Responsibilities:
Teaches private and group pickleball lessons for players ranging from beginners to advanced competitors Conducts engaging clinics, drills, and specialty programs Develops, organizes, and assists with leagues, round robins, tournaments, and special events Promotes member participation and helps grow the pickleball program Provides exceptional customer service to members and guests Supports the Racquet Sports Director with programming and departmental operations Assists with daily Pro Shop operations, including: Member check-ins Court reservations Point-of-sale transactions Merchandise sales General front desk duties
Minimum Qualifications:
4.5+ pickleball rating preferred Previous teaching and clinic experience required RSPA or PTR Pickleball Certification preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Organized, dependable, and able to work independently Comfortable working in a fast-paced private club environment Tennis knowledge or RSPA Tennis Certification is a strong plus
