Job Summary This position supports all the administrative processes to maintain and elevate the membership program including sales, member card processing, data management, reporting and customer service. This position is also responsible for maintaining zoo-to-member relationships and engagement through excellent customer service, responding to member concerns and ensuring excellent members experiences that highlight our mission of connecting people to animals and the natural world. As part of the marketing, communications, events and membership team, this position supports a collaborative team operation through cross training and multi functional tasks. Duties include but are not limited to: Operates the office administration of the Minnesota Zoo Membership Program. The membership program is fluctuating household count of over thirty-five-thousand-member households and generating over six million in revenue annually. revenue annually. Sells and promotes the Minnesota Zoo membership program while strengthening the membership to donor pipeline and enhance member engagement through supporting the zoo's mission Maintain data integrity through proper data entry, serve as a knowledgeable source of CRM functionality to ensure updated constituent records and ability to recover necessary reporting from CRM and other data sources. Provides support across the Sales, Box Office and Membership team through cross-training and multifunctional support measures. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Customer service skills sufficient to provide complicated information and/or assistance to varied and diverse clients and guests and others in a courteous, professional, and respectful in stressful situations with deadlines. Computer skills using word processing, spreadsheets, database, and email applications sufficient to prepare, create, format, edit, print, save and/or attach a variety of documents, including emails, member communications, internal and external notifications, etc. in an efficient and timely manner. Skills in math sufficient to make change, compute account balances and amounts owed, and solve applied/practical problems requiring choice and sequence of arithmetic operations. Data processing and data entry with minimum errors and independency Ability to organize multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. Ability to handle difficult or complex problems and resolve customer complaints or concerns tactfully and thoroughly. English sufficient to speak, read, understand, and respond to spoken and written communications appropriately to questions from clients, guests, vendors, and other staff effectively and courteously. Preferred Qualifications Ability to learn and possess a thorough understanding of Minnesota Zoo membership and sales programs, procedures, products and benefits. Ability to attend to details sufficient to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing tasks. Experience working with CRM and/or POV systems. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook). Basic knowledge of sales and record keeping procedures. Demonstrated ability to maintain a work environment that respects and values differences, diversity and promotes consistent and cohesive teamwork and team-minded work environment. Fluent in a second language, such as Spanish, Hmong, ASL, etc. Physical Requirements Ability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, and weekends. Ability to learn multiple tasks. Ability to work and respond quickly. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keypad, use credit card readers, distribute materials, etc. Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time. Ability to move up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
