Work Hours:
Not to exceed 19 hours per week, not to exceed 900 hours in a calendar year. The Healthcare Training Fund (Training Fund) is a non-profit, labor/management partnership including eight major healthcare employers and the largest healthcare union in Washington State. The Healthcare Training Fund was formed in 2008 and is a statewide program that addresses the workforce needs of participating employers and supports the career, knowledge, and skill aspirations of SEIU Healthcare 1199NW members. The Healthcare Training Fund is the sponsor of the state-registered Health Care Apprenticeship Consortium (HCAC) and of the Virtual Healthcare Institute (VHI) serving a range of regional employers, unions, union members, and student candidates. As a Per Diem Member Service Representative (MSR), you'll be the first point of connection for healthcare workers seeking education and career support. This role blends customer service (answering questions, guiding members through benefits) with process-driven work (applications, data entry, eligibility checks). Incumbent must have the skills, abilities and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Provide thorough and timely customer service to members, including answering questions about Training Fund benefits and collaborating with educational navigators.
- Handle incoming calls and emails, directing inquiries as needed.
- Notify members of application status and follow up on missing documentation.
- Process a high volume of benefit requests (tuition assistance, professional development, etc.) with accuracy and compliance.
- Verify eligibility and document member records in the database.
- Enter and maintain accurate data in systems including Salesforce, Monday.com, Canvas, and SharePoint.
- 5+ years' administrative support experience with proven organizational skills.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations, including non-native English speakers.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to learn and work in multiple databases, Salesforce experience a plus.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain focus with frequent interruptions.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with commitment to labor/management partnership.
- Demonstrated commitment and understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Must reside in the Puget Sound Region of WA State, with a reasonable commute to Renton, WA and be able to come into the office on an as-needed basis.
- Prior work in healthcare or healthcare-adjacent environments.
- Experience in unionized or labor/management collaborative settings.
- Bilingual skills
- Successful completion of background check is required
- Valid Washington State Driver's License and access to a reliable insured vehicle

Pay:
$26.16 - $32.41 per hour
