Job Description
Member/Customer Service Representative T he Opportunity As our Member/Customer Service Representative, you will play a key role in shaping the experience of members and visitors who interact with CMDA. You will serve as the first point of contact for many of our members, creating welcoming first impressions while supporting the full membership life cycle from inquiry to onboarding and ongoing engagement. This is a highly relational and detail-oriented role where you will help ensure our members feel supported, informed, and connected to CMDA's mission. Through thoughtful service, accurate data management, and proactive communication, you will help strengthen member relationships while supporting recruitment, retention, and engagement efforts across the organization. What You'll Do Member Experience & First Impressions You will help create a welcoming and professional environment for everyone who interacts with CMDA. Warmly greet visitors and employees arriving at the national office during regular business hours. Serve as the first point of contact for members by phone and email, providing friendly, professional, and efficient support. Coordinate and manage incoming organizational phone messages. Monitor entrances and parking areas to help maintain a safe and secure environment. Manage the daily closing procedures for the lobby area. Member Onboarding & Engagement You'll help ensure new members feel welcomed and connected from their first interaction with CMDA. Process new member and lifetime member applications daily with accuracy and attention to detail. Prepare and mail welcome kits for new and lifetime members each week. Respond to prospective member inquiries and questions about membership. Support recruitment and onboarding initiatives that strengthen the member experience. Assist with outreach and communications related to membership. Membership Billing & Renewals You will support the financial side of membership operations by ensuring billing processes run smoothly. Manage membership invoicing and ensure invoices are processed accurately and on time each month. Coordinate and process group membership renewals. Support invoicing procedures in accordance with organizational policies. Data Integrity & Member Records Accurate data is essential to providing excellent member service. You'll help ensure our membership records remain current and reliable. Maintain accurate data entry within the membership database in compliance with CMDA standards. Monitor and maintain data integrity across member records. Identify and resolve duplicate records with careful attention to detail. Materials, Events & Organizational Support You'll help support member-facing initiatives and organizational programs. Manage promotional materials for membership-related events. Fulfill requests for promotional materials and ensure timely shipment. Coordinate shipping and track the return of event materials and banners. Monitor inventory levels and notify ministries when materials need restocking. Assist with merchandising, marketing, and inventory for the CMDA Store. Oversee prayer card ministry distribution, including maintaining stock and weekly staff distribution. Collaboration & Team Support You'll work closely with the Member Experience team to strengthen member engagement across the organization. Support new member recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent service across member touchpoints. Assist with additional responsibilities and special projects as needed. Required Qualifications A vibrant faith and exemplary Christian maturity and witness A personal commitment to the Mission, Vision, Values and Statement of Faith of CMDA Exceptional interpersonal skills with friendly, outgoing personality Excellent verbal and written skills Excellent communication with the ability to deliver clear, effective and professional messages Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize Self-directed, motivated, and goal-oriented Strong attention to detail and commitment to the overall excellence of the Associations Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues Highly competent in the use of technology, including Microsoft Office Suite Competency in basic accounting procedures
