Compensation:

Hourly Paid Position, Bi-Weekly; $80 per game/event Position Overview The Huntsville Havoc are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and energetic Merchandise Associate to support retail operations. This role is designed as a part-time, bi-weekly paid game day/event position for individuals looking to build a career in sports management, retail operations, and customer service. The Merchandise Associate will play a key role in enhancing the fan experience at Havoc home games and special events. This individual will work our merchandise kiosk during game days and various special events when needed. Merchandise Associate will be required to work for four hours per game/event.

Job Overview & Duties Customer Service:

Greet fans, answer product questions, and help with sizing or selections. Be familiar with all products in the store, knowing upcoming promotions that product is being held for, etc.

Sales & Cashiering:

Operate the Shopify Point of Sale (POS) system, process card payments, and handle transactions accurately.

Stand Setup & Breakdown:

Set-up merchandise stands before hockey games or events and pack up inventory securely afterward.

Stock & Inventory:

Restock shelves and keep merchandise stands clean and organized.

Job Requirements & Skills Experience:

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Ability:

Stand for long periods (4+ hours) as well as push, pull, and move products weighing up to 25-50 pounds. Must be able to work in an cold environment.

Schedule Flexibility:

Required to work all gamedays which occurs various week days, weekends, and holidays based on the team's home schedule. Home schedule is located at huntsvillehavoc.com.

Knowledge:

A general interest or background in hockey and retail is a plus.
