About this Internship Role ThredUp is the world's largest online thrift and consignment platform. We have over 5M unique secondhand items on site and process over 100K items per day. Our buyers come to us for great deals on great brands — Reformation, Lululemon, Free People, Anthropologie, and 50K more — all one-of-a-kind items that are inspected, photographed, and priced before it ships. We're now bringing that same treasure-hunt energy to live shopping. As a ThredUp intern, you will be given a firsthand glimpse at what it's like to work at the leading online secondhand apparel marketplace. You will tackle projects alongside our world-class team, with the opportunity to make a real impact on ThredUp's business. What You'll Do Host live shows on Whatnot, Ebay Live, and other live selling platforms, sourced directly from ThredUp Pull and prep pieces before each show — know the brand, size, condition, and price before you go live Show each piece clearly: fabric, fit, flaws, styling ideas Run the pace of the show — keep energy up, keep product moving, keep viewers watching Answer viewer questions in real time and respond to chat throughout the stream Track what sells and flag trends back to the product and merchandising teams — what moved fast, what didn't, what viewers asked for What You Bring Interest in and passion for fashion, secondhand, and sustainability Comfortable on camera for 2+ hour shifts, sustained energy the whole time Preference for background in content creation or performance (live selling on Whatnot or TikTok Shop, theater, dance, music, improv/comedy, or other on-camera experience) Real product knowledge in fashion: brands, fabrics, fit, how to spot quality secondhand pieces Quick on your feet: you can handle questions, respond to comments, and keep a show moving Comfortable in a warehouse environment: on your feet, handling inventory, moving at a fast pace Experience with technology, AI workflows, and data analysis
