Innovative Electric & Communications Inc. is seeking experienced Retail Merchandisers for a multi-week store reset at the Best Buy location in San Carlos. Our crews reflow departments, set planograms, and transition product assortments in occupied, operating retail stores. We are looking for detail-oriented merchandisers who can read a planogram, work independently, and represent our company professionally on a customer's sales floor.Primary Responsibilities:
- Reflow the Smart Home department, including moving end cap fixtures to ensure adjacencies with inline displays.
- Reflow computer accessory planograms, averaging 25 sections per store, including PC Gaming and Component sections.
- Swap and re-merchandise Digital Imaging and Small Appliance end caps.
- Support the
Appliance Assortment Transition:
de-merchandise cooktops, hoods, and ovens; wrap, pack, label, and stage product for send back.- Install demo cords on ovens, hoods, and ranges per brand-specific instructions, and set units to Demo Mode to disable heating elements.
- Plug lighted display elements into EMS receptacles and product displays into 24/7 receptacles per instructions.
- Set product per the planogram and VMM (Visual Merchandising Manager) instructions.
- Pair Electronic Sign Labels (ESL) to the correct planogram to avoid pricing inaccuracies.
- Place Energy Guides, price and license plate details, and LPs consistently per the provided instructions.
- Move box stock, side stock, and end cap displays.
- Set aside, retain, and reinstall VPP parts as directed by VMM.
- Keep displays clean and functional; use only approved cleaning supplies on stainless steel, sparingly, to avoid streaking.
- Complete required completion photos and upload documentation to Airtable before leaving the site each day.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of retail merchandising, reset, or remodel experience.
- Ability to read and execute planograms and merchandising maps accurately.
- Big-box or consumer electronics reset experience strongly preferred (Best Buy experience a plus).
- Comfortable using a scissor lift; must be able to operate a lift safely or be willing to be trained and certified.
- Experience with pallet jacks and moving fixtures and product safely.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow written instructions step by step.
- Basic smartphone or tablet skills for photo documentation and platform check-in.
Requirements:
- Must live in or near the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and your own vehicle.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for a full shift.
- Comfortable working from ladders and lifts.
- Available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional. Job Site Standards
- Shift is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch (8 hours).
- Check in with the Site Lead each morning and sign in on the project timesheet; check out and sign out before leaving.
