Job Description
Overview Striking Petals is an event teardown company based in Southern California + beyond. We provide post-event tear-down services for florists and event planners, specializing in corporate events, weddings, and special occasions We are seeking organized, dependable, and hardworking Assistant Strikers to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring that all event materials are safely packed, transported, and stored after each event. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, a team player, and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on work environment. Responsibilities Assist in teardown process for weddings, corporate events, etc. Safely wrap and handle fragile items such as glassware, ceramics, and rentals. Load and unload items into vehicle, ensuring all materials are organized for transport. Break down floral installations, centerpieces, arches, and other structures as needed. Maintain clear communication with the team and provide support whenever necessary Perform other duties as required, contributing to the overall efficiency of the teardown process. Physical Demands Lift and move items up to 30+ pounds across the venue. Comfortable using ladders to break down hanging installs and/or arches. Regularly move between the venue and vehicle to load and organize materials. Ability to visually inspect products for packaging and damages. Qualifications Strong verbal communication skills Leadership abilities and initiative to take charge when needed Highly organized self-starter with strong attention to detail Ability to work well with vendors, clients, and team members Must be comfortable on ladder Flexible availability, including working weekends and late nights Must have your own vehicle for transportation to and from event locations (and moving items as needed) Must be 18 years of age or older If you're passionate about logistics, organization, and working behind the scenes in the event industry, we'd love to hear from you!
